Imagine being a combat veteran and trying to return home only to feel alone and out of place... Wild Ops is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to find these warriors and provide them with a safe and natural place to connect with one another and God. Whether you are looking for a fun run or if you want to compete for the prize, this fundraising event is for everyone. Wild Ops and the Kent State Veterans Club invites you to come out and support our Nations Heroes during our Wild Ops 5k Race For Warriors Fundraiser! All proceeds go toward supporting the Wild Ops Mission... Veterans dedicated to helping fellow combat Veterans find support, hope, and healing in the battle of transitioning back into civilian life through facilitating faith-based wilderness excursions. The in-person events will be held at the Kent State University Main Campus which begins and ends near the entrance to the Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation & Wellness Center. The course will be clearly marked and will take you through the Kent State Campus via the Esplanade and along the Portage Bike & Hike Trail. After the race there will be a post-race party and an awards ceremony.
